1.0 Shipping

1.1 Free Shipping Offer

For a limited time, MCC Online is offering free ground shipping on web orders of specially-marked new in-stock merchandise (excluding taxes if applicable) totaling over $199, after any coupons or discounts have been applied.

This offer is for online customers only. If you wish to place an order by phone, you must let our phone sales person know that you saw this offer online.

Individual items qualifying for free shipping are clearly marked on our web site near the item's price.

This offer does not apply to oversize or overweight packages, vintage or used merchandise, empty instrument cases, empty gig bags or orders shipped outside of Canada. Also, this offer does not apply to backorders and special orders.

Free shipping is only for items you buy and keep. The outbound shipping charge will be deducted from your refund if an item that shipped for free is returned.

1.2 Shipping Costs within Canada

Due to our narrow profit margin, we must charge for shipping and handling on all orders. All shipping prices listed here are for ground service in Canada. Other shipping options usually cost more (often a lot more), so phone or e-mail for a price quote if you need something other than regular ground shipping.

To determine ground shipping and handling costs within the continental United States, use the following guidelines:

  • Insurance for Order Over $3000 - For domestic orders only, an insurance surcharge of $0.40 per each $100 of value over $3000 will be applied. The charge does not apply to orders that qualify for free shipping.
  • Air Shipments - Air shipping charges are not listed here. All air orders must be phoned in during normal business hours (9:30 am - 9:00 pm Mon-Fri, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm Saturday and 12 noon - 5:00 pm Sunday, Mountain Standard Time). Please talk directly to a customer service representative to verify shipping charges, stock availability, and delivery time. Phone (877) 278-8877.
  • C.O.D. orders add $6.50 to the charges listed above. Sorry, we cannot ship your first order C.O.D.
    An instrument and case to fit can be put together in the same shipping box. A few small goods will usually fit in the same carton, so compute shipping fee for instrument or case only.

1.3 International Shipping

We have found that the most cost effective and reliable way to ship instruments and other high value items is via United Parcel Service (UPS) Express service. UPS is an international delivery company, independent of Canada Post. All goods are fully insured and will usually arrive within 2 to 3 business days of shipment.

UPS will act as the customs broker, and the receiver (you) is responsible for all import duties and fees. The brokerage fee is included when you choose UPS as the broker. If you choose another broker, you will be obligated to pay brokerage fees. Contact your customs bureau for current duties and fees in your country.

You must provide us with a telephone or fax number before any order can be shipped via UPS. (UPS will need to contact you to arrange delivery.)

Small Goods - It is possible to ship orders for small goods via UPS. Please inquire for specific shipping rate information.

Multiple Package Shipments - Ordering several instruments at one time will bring the average cost per package lower. Please inquire for shipping costs.

Shipping Damage - We check the conditions of all items before shipping. Damage in transit is very rare, but if the shipping box looks damaged, try not to accept it until the delivery person has indicated damage on the proper UPS forms. (This is not essential, but it helps when making claims.) Then be sure to notify us immediately so we can initiate the claim. You must keep the box and all the packing material. Do not ship damaged merchandise back to us until we have authorized it.

2.0 Returns & Warranties

2.1 Your Guarantee of Satisfaction

We have selected our merchandise with great care, and made every effort to describe it thoroughly. If you find that you are dissatisfied with anything purchased from us, it may be returned - in unused condition - for exchange or a full refund (less shipping charges). Please dispatch within 5 working days of your having received the item(s) you have decided to return. Also, for instruments only, please notify us within 48 hours of your intention to return. Ship all items well-packed and insured. We cannot allow credit for items received from you that have been damaged in shipping due to poor packing. In the unlikely event of shipping damage please notify us immediately. Please do not return any damaged item until you have received authorization from us.

2.2 Limited Warranty

We guarantee that all NEW instruments purchased from us will remain free from defects in material and workmanship for a limited period of no less than 90 days and up to one year from the date of purchase. This is in addition to the manufacturers' guarantee(s).

All USED instruments purchased from us (except as noted below) are guaranteed to remain free from defects in materials and workmanship for 30 days from the date of purchase. Exceptions include consignment instruments (which are not owned by us, but are sold by us on commission for private individuals) and those in "AS IS" condition. We will repair any guaranteed instrument if found to be defective within the warranty period.

The following are not included in our guarantee: harmonicas, strings, banjo heads, tremolo re-adjustments, checked finishes (which are the result of extreme temperature and/or humidity changes), and damage resulting from abuse, accident, or improper use. We strongly recommend use of a humidifier in your stringed instruments, particularly during the dry winter months.

Information Collection and Use

MCC collects the information you fill out in some forms on our site. We use this information to fulfill your order or request and perhaps to contact you if we have questions regarding your order or request. We do not sell the information we collect from our web site nor do we share it with others. E-mail addresses you enter into our email-price-quote form are used only for emailing the price-quote to you and are not collected for later use.

Cookies - We use a "cookie" in our shopping basket program and in some other fill-in forms to maintain "session" information as you go from form to form on our site. Our cookies are used only on the mccshoponline.com web site and are not used for advertising or profiling purposes.
